The
Public Relations Office headed by the Income-tax
Officer(PR) is located on the Ground floor of C.R.Buildings,
Queen's Road, Bangalore. The objective of the Public
Relations Section is to project an "Assessee
friendly image" and provide tax payer services.
In pursuance of these objectives, the following

FACILITATION
COUNTER:
The
Facilitation Counter assists assesses by providing forms,
challans and other proformas and guidance on simple matters. |
ASSISTANCE TO PUBLIC:
The PR Section provides assistance on tax maters viz.,
calculation of tax, interest on tax, filling up returns,
jurisdiction and guidance in tax planning to Salaried
assesses. On an average about 200 persons visit this office
to avail the services offered.
Doubts are also clarified on telephone. For any assistance,
the public may call 080-22868044. |
WEBSITE AND EMAIL SERVICE
This website is maintained and updated by the PR Section.
An email service itpro@bgl.vsnl.net.in
is also provided to assist assesses. On an average about
50 mails are received daily. |
ASSISTANCE TO SENIOR CITIZENS & PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED
PERSONS:
This Section assists Senior Citizens and Physically Challenged
Persons by receiving the returns by post and filing and
sending the acknowledgement to them. Forms, challans etc
are also sent by post to persons who have genuine difficulty
in coming personally to the office. |
GRIEVANCE CELL:
Public grievances are received by post or via email and
attended to expeditiously. |
TAX PAYERS INFORMATION:
Brochures and pamphlets on tax rates and TDS rates are
brought out periodically for guidance of assesses. Also
Books on tax matters are sold in this office. |
INTERCHARGE TRANSFER OF RECORDS:
Formalities and correspondences relating to transfer of
records (both incoming and outgoing) from one Charge to
another are handled in this office. |
PRESS NOTES AND ADVERTISEMENTS:
Information
to public by way of Press Notes and advertisements on
important issues are released by this office. |
